Senior Frontend Engineer

The Role

Duty Declared is building the operating system for global trade compliance. We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who cares deeply about craft, performance, and user experience.

You will own the architecture of our core dashboard, working directly with our design team to implement complex data visualizations and high-performance interfaces. You won't just be converting Figma to HTML, you'll be defining the component systems that power our entire product suite.

What you'll do

• Architect and build scalable frontend systems using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
• Collaborate with design to maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency across the platform.
• Optimize application performance for large datasets (millions of rows).
• Mentor junior engineers and drive code review standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building rich, interactive web applications.
• Deep mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, React internals, and browser rendering.
• Obsessive attention to detail—you care about pixel-perfection and smooth animations.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3, Visx) is a plus.
